It has been quite a while since my last contribution. I really have no excuse other than laziness. With that in mind, I will start posting new stories this week. I've got a couple of good Campfire's coming, including a Christmas story that I'm sure you'll enjoy.
It has been brought to my attention that some of our readers are having trouble viewing the blog. I have been told that the pictures and stories are skewed and in some cases the text is not visible unless selected. If anyone is having trouble please let me know so I can troubleshoot it. Email me at: nymig@cox.net and let me know what browser you are using and what the blog looks like.
Due to a mini vacation in Vegas and some long hours at work, the Pushover has been negligent in adding more stories. Because of this, he has been listed as an MIA and will remain there until more stories are added. Check back soon, as Cracking Up will have some story updates shortly.
As out of character as it may seem, the Pushover has made an administrative decision regarding comment counting. As you will notice, I have reset the comment counts to their original configuration. After much thought about the pros and cons of using comment counts as a yardstick for hero status, the following rules will now apply (who thought it would be this complicated!):
I realize I've been a little slow in getting another story up on the blog. I've been a little swamped at work lately, but have no fear. I have more stories already started and will get another one finished shortly.
Due to some complaints I've received pertaining to our new comment count feature and its impact on the hero/support/mia status, and the fact that I am the Pushover, I am currently reconsidering my position on the issue. When I come to a decision that I think all can agree on, I will notify you. Until then, get off my back!
It was brought to my attention that we have some contributors that have been more active in their support of this website than others. While I appreciate any and all contributions and comments, I feel it only fair to reward those that go the extra mile to contribute to the cause. With this in mind I have instituted the following changes.
As you can see, I've updated the look of the site recently. After seeing the site displayed on various computers, other than my own, I thought it was a little dark and hard to read. So, for better readability purposes, I decided to use a different theme. For consistency purposes, I've also updated the blog theme to match. Hopefully, it makes your experience better. Feel free to let me know what you think!
This is the story of a middle aged Mom and Dad doing their best to remain sane while raising two teenage children. The stories you read here are true, and the names have not been changed to protect the innocent. If we're going insane, we're going to take everyone down with us!
The purpose of this site is to keep everyone who loves us updated on our life and to vent any and all frustrations inflicted upon us by our children.
This is is official relaunch of the restyled website. Kudos to http://templates.arcsin.se for the baseline template.
